How To Track My Collection
This page serves as a tutorial to how you can use the My Collection feature to track items in your collection.
You first must create a free account and log in. Once you done this, there are 2 places you can add items to your collection:
1) Adding Colleciton Items from a Search:

To the left is the page with search results for Year=1952 and LastName=Mantle.
- In the Screenshot, we have checked the checkbox in front of the second item because we would like to add it to My Collection.
- At the top and bottom of the search results, there are toolbars for adding items to My Collection (you can user either one). These are represented by the green boxes.
You need to designate a Category and Condition to be assigned to al checked items when they will be added to to your collection. If you have not created any Collection Categories, then you need to do so before trying to add the items. Once you have specified the items, category, and condition, you may click the "Add Selected Items to" button to add add the items to My Collection.

2) Adding a Colleciton Item from an Item Page:

To the left is the page with the details for a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle baseball card. You'll notice this screenshot has a section labeled "Adding Items to your Collection", represented by the green box. You can fill in the category, coniditon, and optional notes before the "Add Item" button.
You will need to create a Collection Category before being able to add the Item. There is an "Add" link next to the Category dropdownlist to do so. |
Click on the "my collection" tab at the top of any page to be taken to the My Collection Screen.

On the left side, there is a search form that will allow you to filter your items.
If you have items in your collection, you can specify which ones you wish to edit/delete by checking their corresponding checkboxes. You'll notice this screenshot has a section with 3 action buttons, represented by the green box:
- "Delete Selected" will delete any checked items when clicked.
- "Change Category To" will update the category specified in dropdownlist (direcly to its right) for any checked items when clicked.
- "Change Condition To" will update the condition specified in dropdownlist (direcly to its right) for any checked items when clicked. By updating the condition, you should expect to see the value change in many cases.
In addition, you can click on the "edit" or "delete" links for any item to be taken to a form to carry out this action.
